A well-established marine company located in Singapore is seeking Welding Superintendent on permanent position.

Job Description

• Manage all welding activities
• Lead a team of welding supervisors and workers to supervise all welding works
• Provide advice and solution on welding issues at site
• Lead all PQR and WQT for the company in liaison with QA/QC Department
• Plan all welding works to meet the project schedule
• Ensure staff are well trained and skilled to supervise welding works
• Feedback to Construction Manager, QA/QC Manager and Project Manager on the progress of welding works
• Ensure all welding activities are performed in accordance to project specifications and objectives in terms of KPI
• Recommend the type of consumables to be used per project
• Provide an estimation of the consumables requirement and consumption per project
• Ensure consumable stock level is always pre-ordered and maintain at optimum level

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in structural and piping fabrication welding process
• Good planning, organization, control, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to motivate in a challenging work environment
